Synod Hall in Oakland was packed Saturday night for a great concert by the London-based Academy of Ancient Music led from the harpsichord by Richard Egarr, its new music director.
From the first notes of the first piece, Egarr and his merry band of period instrument players established a new, vibrant standard for performance of baroque repertoire.
