Airport Authority to Save $260,000 a Year After Refinancing

The Allegheny County Airport Authority said today it completed the refinancing of more than $30 million in debt, a move that will save an estimated $260,000 annually over the next seven years.

The authority's annual debt payments are about $62 million. It has $435 million in outstanding debt, most related to construction of Pittsburgh International Airport, which opened in 1992.
