The Allegheny County Health Department is giving away free smoke alarms this week as part of National Fire Prevention Week, and in light of recent fatal house fires.
Priority will be given to the elderly and disabled, as well as residents of 17 communities with the highest house fire rates: Braddock, Collier, Duquesne, Etna, Forward, Homestead, McKeesport, North Braddock, Versailles, Wilkinsburg, Allentown, Beltzhoover, Carrick, Hazelwood, Homewood, Lincoln-Lemington and Perry South.See the full content of this document
