Allegheny Residents to See No Property Tax Increase in 2011

Summary


Allegheny County residents would see no property tax increase next year under a plan from County Executive Dan Onorato designed to stabilize the county budget by 2011.

Spending is up $10.8 million, or 1.41 percent from last year's budget in a plan Onorato announced today. To increase spending without a tax increase, the county would use $30 million from the state that is being paid to reimburse the county for some of its building projects.
