Area Hunters Bag Coyotes in Contest

Summary


Sigel Sportsmen's Club in Jefferson County held a coyote hunt during the 2006 firearms deer season that resulted in 15 animals being harvested.

A total of 350 hunters registered for the contest. Most of those who shot a coyote bumped into them while deer hunting, club spokesman Jim Smith said. The club paid out $116 for each animal.
