Summary
A Beaver County man was sentenced in federal court Friday to more than 12 years in prison for a bank robbery spree between August and November 2004.
William John Birdsall, 36, of New Brighton was convicted of robbing Citizen Bank branches in Leetsdale, Brentwood, Richland and Monroeville. In each robbery, prosecutors said Birdsall approached tellers, passed a handwritten note demanding money and gave the teller 15 seconds to comply "or else."See the full content of this document
