Bellevue residents narrowly voted to keep their community dry Tuesday by defeating a ballot question that would have allowed the sale of alcohol in restaurants and bars.

The measure was one of several ballot questions across Allegheny County: Voters came out against higher taxes for the Clairton City schools, agreed to continue publishing Monroeville ordinances in the newspaper and approved small games of chance in Sewickley Hills.
