Summary
As soon as the news about Roethlisberger broke, I remembered Mike Seate's article from a few years ago about the repeal of Pennsylvania's helmet law ("Anti-helmet bikers are out of their right minds," June 13, 2003, and Pghtrib.com).
Mike passionately argued against repeal, but to no avail. He spoke of his own days of riding motorcycles and described how he had witnessed human heads "deflate like soccer balls" upon severe impact with cars or asphalt.See the full content of this document
