PennDOT said today it is replacing the faulty bearings that caused the Birmingham Bridge to partially collapse in February.
The faulty parts, called rocker bearings, will be replaced with a new mechanism that allows the bridge to shift with changes in temperature but will require work through the year and at a total cost of more than $7 million.See the full content of this document
