A goal scored by Flyers center Danny Briere at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night started me thinking great scoring opportunities will come from the slot for the Penguins at Consol Energy Center.

Briere was positioned in the left slot when a puck caromed off the end-zone boards. Upon first glance, it appeared as though Briere was fortunate that the puck bounced near him, but actually he had positioned himself perfectly to retrieve it then quickly bury a shot past Penguins goalie Brent Johnson.
