Smart grid technology company BPL Global Ltd. of Cranberry said Thursday it has joined with six companies through its French subsidiary, BPL Global Emea, for a project to improve energy efficiency and reliability on the islands of Corsica, southeast of the French mainland, Guadeloupe in the Caribbean and La Reunion, part of Guatemala.
