Bridge Eyes for Burrell Trail

BLACK LICK--Installation of a pedestrian bridge across the Blacklick Creek is one of the possibilities county officials are considering to complete a missing link in the Hoodlebug Trail, a hiking and biking route that currently begins in Indiana and stops just shy of this Burrell Township village.

The township supervisors learned Wednesday that county parks officials, who maintain the Hoodlebug path and other area trails, have proposed three initial alternatives for addressing a three- quarter-mile segment of the trail north of Black Lick that currently is impassable.
