Brutality Suit Against Trooper Settled for Undisclosed Amount

Summary


The state has settled another lawsuit against a state trooper whose actions have already cost the state more than $12 million.

The federal case brought by Christopher Strothers, 27, of Penn Hills claimed that Trooper Samuel Nassan used excessive force while needlessly arresting Strothers and several other people on July 6, 2008, outside Rumshaker's Bar on East Carson Street.
