Summary
A sore left wrist kept Freddy Sanchez out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Sanchez tweaked his wrist during his first at-bat Monday night on a checked swing. The injury is not believed to be serious. Sanchez is able to grip the bat, but feels pain at the finish of his swing. Manager Jim Tracy said he is hopeful Sanchez will be back in the lineup today, when the Pirates open a two-game series in Milwaukee. Sanchez missed the first five games this season while recovering from a sprained knee.
