BRADENTON, Fla. - Freddy Sanchez had not played the field for a while, so it's easy to excuse him forgetting how many outs there were in the third inning.

It was easy to lose track after the Yankees sent nine men to the plate in a four-run rally. Then again, maybe when he made the double play pivot after taking a toss from shortstop Jack Wilson, he just wanted to put to rest all that speculation about his surgically repaired shoulder.
