Burrell Woman Gets Prison Time in Dui Crash

Summary


An Armstrong County judge Tuesday sentenced a Burrell Township woman to 1 1/2 to 6 years in state prison for a drunken-driving crash that seriously injured a pregnant woman and her son and resulted in the death of the unborn child.

Sheila Marlene Altman, 53, promised to "never drink again," but Common Pleas Judge James Panchik said the injuries sustained by Shennel Crawford and her then-1-year-old son Ricky Crissman were too severe for a light sentence.
