Calgon Carbon to Pay $7.2 Million to Settle Dispute

Calgon Carbon Corp., the Robinson-based maker of air and water purification products, said Tuesday it agreed to pay a Littleton, Colo., company $7.2 million to settle a dispute over sales commissions.

A jury in federal court in Pittsburgh awarded ADA Environmental Solutions a $12 million verdict in late July, which stemmed from selling Calgon Carbon's activated carbon products to coal-fired power plants to control emissions.
