Summary
Every year, the winter grayness brightens for me with the reappearance of the little heart-shaped sugar candies with brief sayings printed on them. Remarks like "oh you kid" and "luv u" decorate the colored pieces of sweet. And the candies are even better when shared with a couple of grandchildren -- while their mother is shopping for broccoli several aisles over in the supermarket.
