Student Chefs Hungry for Win in 'Jeopardy'-Style Competition

Summary


A chef's superior culinary knowledge is often demonstrated behind cutting boards, ovens and sinks, but five student chefs from Westmoreland County Community College will do so by hitting buzzers in a knowledge competition this weekend.

Five culinary arts students from the Youngwood campus will travel to Hershey for the three-day even to compete at the Northeast Region Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl. The competition, sponsored by the American Culinary Federation, will set the WCCC team from the Laurel Highlands chapter against nine other teams from five states in the region.
