City Gun Ordinance Appeal Filed

Summary


The National Rifle Association has appealed to the state Supreme Court in an attempt to strike down Pittsburgh's lost-or-stolen gun ordinance.

The NRA is appealing a June ruling from state Commonwealth Court that upheld a city ordinance requiring gun owners to report lost or stolen guns to police within 24 hours of discovering they are missing. City lawyers filed a response to the appeal Monday with the state's high court.
