The Steelers and starting left offensive tackle Max Starks have reached agreement on a four-year, $26.3 million contract that binds Starks to the team through 2012.

Starks receives a $10 million signing bonus. Starks had been designated as the Steelers' franchise player for 2009 and would have cost the team $8.451 million against the '09 salary cap.
