Join a Culture Klatch to Stimulate Your Intellect
Cafe Scientifique at the Carnegie Science Center could be called an intellectual happy hour.
Attendees can buy drinks and food, mingle, then sit down in the North Side center's funky Works Theater to listen to a guest speaker talk about science-themed topics. The center started the program last year, and sessions often draw nearly 100 people, officials say."It's a gathering of people outside of a traditional academic context," says Linda Ortenzo, director of the center's regional SciTech Initiative and organizer of Cafe Scientifique.
