Da's Office Missing Drug Cases' Money

Summary


State police are investigating more than $7,000 in restitution and money seized during drug cases that is missing from the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office.

The New Castle News reported on Tuesday that state police got search warrants for bank accounts kept by the office. According to the search warrants, the money went missing between January 2006 and January 2010, just before current district attorney, Joshua Lamancusa, took office.
