25th District Candidates Would Reject Raise

Summary


If the General Assembly should again vote itself a 16 percent pay raise, all four candidates in the 25th House District race say they would refuse it -- including the incumbent who voted for the July 7 raise and initially accepted it.

The three Democrats and one Republican hoping to represent parts of Allegheny and Westmoreland counties in Harrisburg generally agree on what they consider to be the main issues in the campaign, so the choice for voters would seem to be which candidate they think will do the best job.
