Doctor Admits Role in Illegal Online Drug Sales

Summary


A physician from Lake Park, Fla., pleaded guilty Monday in federal court, Downtown, to drug conspiracy charges for prescribing highly addictive narcotics over the Internet for no legitimate medical reason.

William Lockridge, 61, conspired with a Web site owner, a pharmacy owner and others to sell 28,000 prescriptions good for millions of dosages of Hydrocodon, Vicodin, Alprazolam, Xanax and Diazepam to any online customers who requested them, prosecutors said.
