Sewickley Academy junior guard Tom Droney can pass the credit for his team's success. That's because of how well he can pass a basketball.

With a 68-50 victory against Bishop Canevin last Sunday in the Pittsburgh High School Basketball Classic at Robert Morris, Sewickley Academy has won five games in a row and, again, is the Tribune-Review's No. 1-ranked team in Class A. The Panthers, 11-4 overall and 6-0 in Section 4, haven't lost since Dec. 30 at a tournament at Eastern Illinois University, and Droney, who is averaging 23.6 points per game, is the 6-foot-6 engineer behind that success.
