Duquesne Light Co.'s residential and small- and medium-sized business customers who enroll in a program to cut their air- conditioner use on hot days next summer will get a $32 check next fall, the electric company said on Monday.
The Downtown-based utility has about 1,000 customers enrolled in the program, and it plans to cap participation at 1,500 customers, said David DeFide, manager of energy efficiency.
