A weakening national economy has overtaken the war in Iraq and homeland security as the top concern of most Pennsylvanians, a statewide poll shows.

In the same poll, Republican John McCain of Arizona surged ahead of Rudy Giuliani, and Democrat Hillary Clinton maintained a wide lead over Barack Obama for their parties' presidential nominations.
