INDIANA--In 1918, an influenza epidemic killed about 675,000 people in the United States. If such a flu outbreak would happen again, the world may not be any better prepared than it was nearly 100 years ago.

That was the message given to emergency responders and officials in Indiana County last Thursday night during a four-hour informational session at the Indiana Holiday Inn.
