The rivalry between Pittsburgh and Cleveland hasn't been this rough in 25 years.

University of Pittsburgh officials this week found the withered, nearly decapitated corpse of a peregrine falcon that flew from Cleveland three months ago to invade a nest atop Pitt's Cathedral of Learning in Oakland. While observers who watched Web-cam footage of a March 18 battle for the nest thought the loser retreated to Ohio, the grisly discovery on the skyscraper's 40th floor provided a new glimpse into the birds' behavior and living conditions.
