George Washington died in 1799, the same year that Craig Lash's great-great-great-great-great-grandmother moved to the Lash family farm in Sewickley Township.

During the weekend, Lash and his wife, Eleanor, and their 24- year-old son, Craig Lash Jr., received a Bicentennial Farm Award from the state Department of Agriculture.
