Fire in Hempfield That Damaged Car, House Ruled Arson

Summary


A state police fire marshal has ruled that a fire that damaged a car and a nearby house in Hempfield was intentionally set.

Trooper Jake Andolina said the fire was set on Middletown Road about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in a car owned by Lori McCardle of New Stanton. Andolina said the fire spread to the home of 84-year-old William Parks, causing about $500 in damages.
