A Pittsburgh firefighter is one of 18 people federal prosecutors have charged in connection with a heroin trafficking ring, a city official confirmed Friday.

James T. Green Sr., 51, of McCandless is the only defendant not charged with selling drugs. He's charged with helping his son, James Theodore "Stacks" Green, 28, of Penn Hills launder drug proceeds by buying a house in Penn Hills and a car through an unidentified straw buyer.
