Forecast Predicts Another 5 to 9 Inches for Region

Summary


Forecasters with the National Weather Service are now estimating snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches tonight and tomorrow, down from 6 to 12 inches they predicted this afternoon.

There may be 3 to 5 inches tonight and another 2 to 4 inches by Wednesday evening, though totals are likely to be on the lower end, said meteorologist Brad Rehak.

"It looks like it's going to intensify over the coast, and that kind of sucks the energy out of what's over us," Rehak said.

The eastern half of the state is likely to get between a foot and 18 inches of new snow.
