Residents of the Franklin Regional School District will face a tax increase for the 2011-12 school year, but it will be slightly lower than the one approved in the preliminary budget.
School directors voted on Monday to approve a spending plan that included a 2-mill tax hike, from 84.68 to 86.68 mills. One mill generates about $332,000 for the district.
