Having read the article regarding the cost of automobile tires going up ("Tire manufacturers in race to increase prices," Nov. 30 and TribLIVE.com.), I am puzzled.
It says that our economic think tank in Washington added a 35 percent tariff on tires imported from China. We have done this because China was flooding us with cheaper tires and our unions had lost some 7,000 jobs.See the full content of this document
