Summary


A new exhibition at The Frick Art & Historical Center includes the newly restored "1806, Jena."

"Meissonier: A Final Masterpiece, A Pittsburgh Home" offers this significant late-19th-century painting by French artist Jean-Louis- Ernest Meissonier (1815-1891), among other items. The "1806, Jena" painting, acquired by Pittsburgh industrialist Charles Lockhart in 1896, was donated to the Frick in 2007 by the Richard D. Edwards family.
