Missing Garfield Girl Turns Up Unharmed in the Family Court Facility

A missing girl who was last seen five days ago when she boarded a school bus to take her to her foster family's home in Garfield was found unharmed on Tuesday when she showed up in the Family Court Facility, Downtown, with her biological mother.

Destiny Nelson, 12, was walking into Family Court with Breia Hutten when she was recognized by Allegheny County Sheriff's deputies who briefly interviewed them to ensure the child's well- being, sheriff's Cmdr. Donna Best said. Hutten later became angry at Nelson's caseworker and caused a disturbance that was quickly diffused by sheriff's deputies, Best said.
