Summary


Community groups in the Hill District would like to see a new $290 million arena for the Pittsburgh Penguins bring a new grocery store, youth programs and new jobs to the neighborhood's residents.

What they don't want is millions of dollars in public subsidies for arena construction and companion development resulting in the demolition of more housing to create parking lots or any development that goes against the wishes of the community.
