MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Dana Holgorsen, whose offenses dominated college football before his arrival at West Virginia, offered a surprising approach to his first head coaching stint.

"I remove myself from offense quite a bit," said Holgorsen, who helped Houston's passing game rank among the top 5 nationally in 2008 and '09 and took Oklahoma State's offense from No. 61 to No. 1 last season. "During practice, I'm with the offense probably 33 percent of the time. The other (67 percent), I'm bouncing around, talking and seeing and evaluating everybody."
