An Allegheny County jury acquitted a Homewood man Friday of first- and third-degree murder charges in the fatal shooting of a man during a fight with the victim's gun.
Jerry Gaines, 21, was accused of killing Lance Howard, 27, of Larimer on Sept. 6 on North Lang Avenue, near Westinghouse Park in North Point Breeze. Howard died at West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield a short time after the fight.See the full content of this document
