Tom Moore of Las Vegas opened his laptop computer Monday at Pittsburgh International Airport's Military Comfort Center, regaling Hopewell Area High School student Clinton Aurin with tales of his 20 years in the Navy and of a famous World War II railroad hospitality stop in North Platte, Neb.
"If you were traveling in uniform, you had to stop and get off in North Platte because the ladies of North Platte gave you a sandwich," said Moore, 68, a retired submarine chief petty officer.
