Aspiring singers can audition on July 17 for "Pittsburgh Idol," which will send its winner to East Rutherford, N.J., on Aug. 3 for a guaranteed audition for the 10th season of "American Idol" in front of a casting executive from the show.
Entrants for "Pittsburgh Idol" must be age 15 to 28 as of July 15, and legal residents of the U.S. in the Pittsburgh area. They must perform a song of their choice in a cappella style, for at least 30 seconds.
