Pittsburgh police and the Allegheny County District Attorney's office are investigating how a city detective accidentally shot a woman in the foot with a gun he found on the floor of a bathroom as police and Liquor Control Enforcement agents carried out a nuisance bar inspection in Esplen.
The detective found a .22 caliber Derringer lying on the floor of the ladies room at the Riverside Bar & Grill on West Carson Street early this morning after authorities observed people inside the bar drinking illegally after hours and noticed the odor of marijuana, according to police.
