BLAIRSVILLE--Indiana Regional Medical Center is positioning itself to provide more convenience and more services to customers in the southern end of its service area, with planned construction of a new comprehensive ambulatory care facility outside of Blairsville.

Slated for completion in the fall of 2007, the 35,000-square- foot HealthOne center also is expected to fit in nicely, both physically and from a marketing standpoint, with plans to develop housing and accommodations at the Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort and Conference Center, where the medical facility will be located.

Both HealthOne and a proposed 35-acre housing development will rest on unoccupied grassy areas between the resort's original Chestnut Ridge Golf Course and the newer, encircling Tom's Run course, according to Eugene "Huey" Bartolini, a general partner in the resort.
