Jefferson Man Shot in Back During Argument in Greene County

Summary


A Jefferson man was flown to a West Virginia hospital after being shot during an argument Saturday at a home on Rolling Meadows Road in Franklin, Greene County, state police said.

Police said William H. Durbin, 37, went to the home of the unidentified shooter, where a verbal dispute escalated into a physical confrontation. Durbin threatened the shooter and hit him with an object, police said, after which the shooter fired once from a .22-caliber revolver, striking Durbin in the lower back.
