Job Outlook Brighter for Graduates in Class of 2011

Summary


This spring's college graduates are finding that although the nation's jobless rate is still high, the job market is beginning to improve and starting salaries are on the rise.

Brad Matthews, 21, of Hampton, who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh on May 1 with a degree in finance and accounting, is among those reaping the benefits of an improving U.S. economy that added 244,000 new jobs across the nation in April, including 51,000 in professional and business services.
