Summary


Batman's most implacable foe, the Joker, wasn't really created by falling in a vat of toxic chemical waste. The maniacal, always- laughing master criminal actually sprang from the pen -- of Jerry Robinson.

As a teenager, the artist created the iconic villain. By his 20s, Robinson was one of the top artists in DC Comics' bullpen. He spent the next six decades illustrating almost every comic book genre, curating cartoon art exhibits, making editorial cartoons and starting an international cartoon syndicate.
