Summary


An Allegheny County judge Thursday refused to throw out homicide charges against an East Liberty woman accused of intentionally slamming her car into another vehicle on Route 28, killing her romantic rival and the victim's young son.

Jamie Upshur, 26, is accused of forcing the car driven by Timira Brown, 25, of Manchester, into oncoming traffic Aug. 10, 2003. The accident caused a four-car pileup on the highway just inside the city limits.
