Summary
Dave Naugler, Sandy Savitz and Ken Szelong were tired of waiting around for lacrosse to become a premier sport in Western Pennsylvania.
So, in an attempt to facilitate the westward expansion of the sport, Naugler, the coach of the Pine-Richland middle school team, and Savitz and Szelong, whose sons play for Naugler, formed Golden Triangle Lacrosse, a competitive summer league for players from fifth to 12th grade. The league boasts 350 players on 16 teams in four divisions, separated by age group.
